I. STATEMENT OF RESEARCH AND SCIENTIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

* A highly motivated and skilled researcher in immunology with experience in flow cytometry and in vitro co-culture. Experience in single cell RNA sequencing, cell isolation, cytokine analysis, and mouse models is valuable. Experience in microbiology or studies of the microbiome in human disease would be an asset.

* Projects currently address utilizing systems immunology approaches to study innate immunity and the microbiome in infection and disease, specifically women's health. Current research projects include infertility, cervical cancer, and transgender health.

* The qualified candidate will utilize systems immunology techniques including flow cytometry, cell culture, bacterial culture, single cell RNA sequencing, cytokine analysis, cell isolation, and data analysis.

* As a research associate, he/she will present data at departmental seminars and scientific meetings, prepare manuscripts, and contribute preliminary data for grant proposals.

* Additional managerial experience will be an asset and looked upon favorably

II. TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Experience in high parameter flow cytometry is strongly preferred
- Experience with cell isolation and cell culture is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in single cell RNA sequencing preferable
- Experience in microbiology/microbiome is preferred but not required.

III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise laboratory technicians, visiting scholars and student trainees in experimental design and data analysis of a variety of projects. {please remove if not applicable}

IV. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Immunology or related discipline.

- A background in systems immunology is highly preferred. - The successful candidate must have strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
