Software Engineer Lead- Dashboard & Analytics Design

As a Dashboard & Analytics Design Lead you are a member of PNC's Information Technology/Enterprise Information Management (EIM)/Business Information Delivery organization. The location of this position is flexible- Brookpark, Ohio, Strongsville, Ohio or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You will report to the VP/Manager of BI Standards & Architecture.

In your role, you will work directly with individual project teams as an advisor and contributor to the overall user experience. You are part of the review team that evaluates proposed dimensional star schema designs to confirm that data will be available to support the information delivery requirements captured by the project team during Analysis/Requirements Gathering. You collaborate with the BI Best Practices Lead and individual BI Developers to review dashboard designs and ensure that stated best practices are being followed.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

* Seven (7) or more years experience in enterprise-level business intelligence and data warehousing. Consulting experience a plus.

* Three (3) years experience in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

* Proven ability to mentor junior developers in OBIEE

* Facilitation of requirements sessions and workshops for Business Intelligence solutions. Formal methodology preferred.

* Proven ability to work on multiple initiatives concurrently

* Strong knowledge and proven experience in metadata (RPD) design and development and dashboard design and development

* Experience in database design methodologies and dimensional modeling

* Basic understanding of the core concepts for data governance and metadata management

* Exposure/experience with ETL processes (Informatica is a plus)

* Demonstrated proficiency with SQL (Oracle and SQL Server databases a plus)

* Understanding of enterprise authentication/authorization controls and processes (LDAP, SSO, Windows security, etc)

* Demonstrated competency of the Linux Redhat and Windows Server operating systems

* Basic understanding of networking concepts

* Basic understanding of J2EE hosting / Web Hosting technologies (Apache/IBM Websphere a plus)

* Basic understanding of change control and multi-user development environment concepts (Harvest, Clearcase a plus)
