Inertial Aerospace Services, Inc. (IAS), a subsidiary of HEICO Aerospace, is currently recruiting for a full-time technician to join our Ring Laser Gyro team. This Position will require exceptional attention to detail. Successful applicant will be self-motivated, able to consistently follow documented procedures, and work efficiently both with a team and independently. Candidate must be comfortable working in clean room and chemical lab environments, which include wearing required PPE and following all safety procedures after proper training. Position will include breaking down Laser Gyro blocks, chemically cleaning them, and beginning manual reassembly process using a hydraulic press and other fixtures/equipment. Position could also include training on mirror bonding and alignment, operation of semi-automated test equipment, sensor alignment, and Gyro testing. At all stages of the process, maintaining proper inventory records and repair logs will be required.

Preferred Experience:

Clean rooms, chemical labs, laser optics, precision measuring tools (such as oscilloscopes and micrometers), electro-mechanical assembly (including manual soldering), and working in an FAA and/or ISO regulated facility. Experience in an aviation environment is also a plus.

Education:

Preferred: Technical Associate Degree with 5+ years of experience.

Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent with documented experience and demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical tasks.

Position Requirements:

Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
