To perform all daily operation tasks in the warehouse while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient facility.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Shift: Monday-Friday (3:00pm-12:00pm)
  • Pay: $20.93
  • Ensure compliance to all Cardinal and safety rules, OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Complete trailer entry sheets daily.
  • May be assigned Yard horse driving duties which requires completion of C&W Service's training program.
  • Complete Yard horse Activity and Inspection form daily.
  • May be assigned Shuttle Driving duties which require a Commercial Drivers License.
  • Inspect trailers daily to verify condition meets criteria set by Client for loading and unloading
  • Report all accidents and near misses. Comply with all safety rules per company policy.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings and complete all required training.

Receiving - 100% accurate and timely receipts.

  • Must be proficient in SAP as it relates to the job functions
  • Operate the on-board RF monitor.
  • Conduct all receiving and put away activity
  • Communicate and resolve issues with Supervisor or Manager.
  • May move trailers in and out of receiving dock if certified
  • May conduct receiving and put away activity when material handler is not available to unload trailers.

Shipping - 100% on-time and accurate shipments - Zero complaints.

  • Conduct all shipping activity - picking, staging, auditing, and paperwork flow from office.
  • Must be proficient in SAP as it relates to the job functions.
  • Operate the on-board RF monitor.
  • Monitor all Transfer orders from the RF monitor. Visually double check orders that cannot be scanned
  • Double check shipments for accuracy and compliance to picking/shipment requirements.
  • Pick and load all box loads, box to bulk, break bulk and raw material requests.
  • Notify Supervisor of transfer orders that won't confirm on floor.
  • Verify all orders comply with all shipping instructions, are loaded, and posted correctly.
  • May move trailers in and out of the shipping docks if certified

Building, equipment, and supplies

  • Conduct daily equipment check lists.
  • Notify Supervisor of low inventory and supplies needed in warehouse.
  • Perform routine maintenance within the work area.
  • Make sure all equipment is in working and safe order. Notify Supervisory personnel of all repairs necessary to keep equipment in safe operational order.
  • To follow all housekeeping procedures. This includes but not limited to keeping all work areas including the dock areas & aisle ways clean & free from debris, immediately cleaning up and material loss or spillage, putting all trash into appropriate trash bins.

OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES:

  • Ensure compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Physically count all cycle counts directed by Supervisor, report all inventory adjustments.
  • Special requests / plant contact, grade changes, labeling, samples, etc...
  • Assist in all office duties as requested by Supervisor.
  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
  • Communicates with all team members to support the development of short- and long-range planning in support of the company's goals and objectives.
  • Maintain personal tools requires for your job.
  • Perform assigned task in a safe, effective, and efficient manner. Work overtime, when required.
  • Comply with all safety rules per company policy.
  • Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion. Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Possess a high school diploma or approved GED
  • Experience: 2-5 years' experience in the field or in a related field.
  • May be required to have a valid CDL driver's license and pass DOT physical and drug test.
  • May be required to get certified by C&W Services to operate a Yard horse.
  • Be certified by C&W Services to operate a forklift.
  • Operate the on-board RF monitors, if available.
  • Must be proficient in SAP as it relates to the job functions.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with fellow employees and supervision.
