Post Doctoral Researcher in the lab of Dr. Purnima Dubey, Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity, to research mucosal vaccines against B. pertussis; designs, conducts, and evaluates research experiments involving mouse and human samples; designs and executes advanced immunology and microbiology techniques including eukaryotic cell culture, and multiparameter flow cytometry; writes research papers for publication; presents research findings at local, national, or international scientific meetings; applies for postdoctoral fellowships; assists PI with writing and submitting grant proposals to obtain extramural funding in support of research; analyzes and interprets data; performs scientific literature searches; participates in journal clubs, laboratory meetings, and Department seminars and activities; assists with training of other lab members.
Minimum Education Required
Doctorate (Academic) or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in biological sciences.
Required Qualifications
MD, PhD, or MD/PhD required; ability to interact in a highly multidisciplinary environment; experience with eukaryotic cell culture and multiparameter flow cytometry desired. Experience with animal handling and husbandry desired. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
