The Quality Assurance Manager will be the operations branch expert in the understanding and implementation of the ISO 9001 standard, supporting the Company's overall Quality Management System. This position will champion, support, and lead all local quality improvement initiatives, which includes ensuring that all managers, process owners, and supervisors, develop and maintain their part of the Quality Management System. Partnerships and collaboration will be two key factors in the success of this position, with departments such as; engineering, supply chain, warehouse and plant manufacturing. This position will also be responsible for the oversite of the Quality Management System for satellite locations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)

Managing process reviews, which entails analyzing and updating quality documentation (work instructions, test procedures, internal references, forms, etc.), making certain that current practices are documented.(35%)

  • Manage and monitor all branch related corrective actions (CARs), working with CAR leads on ensuring a root- cause analysis is performed correctly to prevent reoccurring issues.
  • Conduct management review meetings with department managers; evaluating the continued suitability and effectiveness of the branch's Quality Management System, by analyzing and sharing performance data against defined parametersto determine potential improvements/improvement projects.

Concentration on process quality compliance (Process Auditing). Document and understand operations' processes related to quality exposure or gaps. Lead and collaborate with process owners to identify opportunities and implement sustainable solutions. (25%)

Investigate all reported and suspected non-conforming (NCR) product, following company established procedures. Coordinate with the corporate office, specifically Engineering and Quality, for all company-wide non-conforming product. (25%)

Participate, and be, the representative for all branch audits. This includes coordinating with the Company Quality Audit Manager for internal and external audits; such as ISO, UL, ICC-ES, and IAPMO. Product, Lean, and Supplier audits may also be applicable. (10%)

Participate with the Company's Quality Manager network worldwide, which includes monthly meetings and annual summits, let by the Director of Global Quality (5%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • Required: ISO 9001: 2015 Certified/ Trained
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field. Or equivalent on-the-job experience
  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Training/ Certification (Green Belt/ Black Belt)
  • 8+ years' experience as a Quality Manager/ Supervisor
  • 5+ years knowledge of Continuous Improvement Systems/ Programs
  • Strong Analytics and Reporting Acumen
  • Demonstrated Root Cause Analysis tools/ platform usage and effectiveness
  • Forward thinking related to Quality process automation (i.e., Vision Systems, Artificial Intelligence)
  • Professional Presentation Skills
  • Strong Communication attributes with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Keen understanding of Quality system databases
  • Ability to influence/ guide direct & indirect reports

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. are frequently used.

TRAVEL

This position requires domestic and international travel up to 20% of the time.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt position is located in Columbus, OH.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$90,000 - $100,000 / year
