As theQuality Manageryou will ensure that the Plant QMS systems are managed, and improved so that manufactured products meet both internal and external customer requirements for product and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a vision for the Quality Department that aligns with Plant and Department objectives.
• Collaborate with the site management team to set quality goals.
• Lead the QMS for the site and ensure it meets requirements for certifications and aligns with the PPG Global QMS standards. Lead the use of a quality management system through influence leadership.
• Utilizes and advances the QMS following industry standards and customer expectations/ customer scorecards documented through 3rd party registration/ certification.
• Identify quality control processes to ensure that product performance criteria are met.
• Records quality findings and relay this information to the appropriate leaders.
• Participates in crucial decisions in favor of cost-efficiency without compromising on quality.
• Manages an internal audit program to ensure product conformity in final product and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensures that customer complaints are prompted and thoroughly resolved through cause based corrective action.
• Tracks QMS system corrective/ preventive actions and status to ensure closure.
• Promotes and demonstrates a culture of quality through communication, awareness activities and action.
• Part of Site Leadership Staff

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or related field and 3-5 years of experience or 10+ years working in manufacturing Quality.
• Prior experience handling customer complaints including the containment process and applying root cause analysis.
• Experience managing ISO 9001 systems
• Track record in delivering projects
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
