Job Description

The Senior Analyst is responsible for the implementation of Oracle ERP Cloud. The role will partner with the Business Transformation team, Global Business Owners, and other DT teams to execute the rollout of Oracle ERP cloud across the globe. The role will be responsible for working in a hybrid agile environment, leading sprint sessions, assisting in gathering user requirements and configuring and testing the ERP system within the Oracle ecosystem and across to boundary systems with focus towards R2R (Record to Report)/ATR (Asset to Retire) stream. This role will partner with other DT teams to introduce functions like automated system testing, Digital integration platform integrations etc. The role will also work closely with the EDO organization to ensure that consistent data and reporting standards are being used. The role will be matrixed into different working pods and will be constantly collaborating and communicating across teams both in IT and business.

  • Effectively work in a hybrid agile environment by adapting to rapid sprint sessions by coming prepared to sessions
  • Configure cloud environment while working closely with other tracks and the implementation partner.
  • Partner with the Business Transformation organization to build user stories that will ensure business scenarios are well outlined.
  • Effectively lead meetings with multiple stakeholders across business, IT, and implementation partner.
  • Initiate and facilitate the use of Jira to help alleviate the use of manual spreadsheets for project tracking.
  • Assist in bridging the gap between cloud ERP and all associated boundary systems by ensuring that the functional requirements for the boundary system are being satisfied by data from the cloud.
  • Determine user and IT security roles within Oracle and verify their compliance with the Governance team.
  • Assist the EDO data team in extracting and determining standardization for cloud fields.
  • Work closely with the Platform team on functional and technical specs for extensions and reports
  • Configure OTBI reports and work closely with EDO and Product Owners on building best practice reports.
  • Work across the entirety of a track to ensure functional knowledge is shared by multiple people on the team.

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 5+ years IT experience.
  • 5+ years Oracle application experience in any of the following modules: General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Lease/Property manager, Accounts Receivable, Advanced Collections, Credit Management, iReceivables, Subledger Accounting (SLA), eBusiness Tax, Payables, Cash Management, Purchasing, Order Management & Costing.
  • 3+ years' experience of ERP implementation experience
  • Experience in version of Oracle R12 EBS
  • Experience with third party tax packages such as Vertex, Taxware, OneSource.
  • Extensive experience in the Account to report/Records to reports cycle is preferred. Experience working in Oracle Cloud ERP is preferred.
  • Advanced systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and familiarity in underlying Oracle ERP applications database architecture, as well as Oracle database and development tools (PL/SQL, SQL Plus, Forms, Reports).
  • Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Demonstrated skill in leading meetings effectively with business and IT.
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally horizontally and vertically across business, IT and consulting partners.
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully across tracks and across teams.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
  • Expertise with configuration and setups for Oracle modules
  • Working knowledge of software development and support methodologies.
  • Demonstrated skill in preparation and maintenance of implementation documents.
  • Understand various essential business functions of an organization.
  • Strong commitment to inclusion and diversity.

Preferred:

  • Oracle Cloud experience
  • Agile methodology knowledge/experience
  • Accounting and Reconciliation experience/knowledge

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Ability to understand underlying table structures of Oracle modules.
  • Basic SQL skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
  • Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Work surfaces may include concrete.
  • Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
  • Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.
