Operate industrial forklift equipped to move materials around warehouse, as well as an electronic Pallet Jack for case pick functions
Load and unload shipping containers/truck trailers
Maintain the machines, equipment, and electrical components.
Maintain equipment (lifts) for the facility and associated operating equipment.
Training/Skills:
High school diploma or general education degree, one year of experience in operating a forklift, and forklift certification; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Current valid state driver's license
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends
Abilities:
Coordination skills to move controls, levers, and devises to drive industrial forklifts to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing and storage areas
Organize and secure materials where bales, boxes, sacks, pallets, and other materials are stored.
Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment to ensure forklift equipment is operating well
Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devises.
Complete forklift operator training annually, provided by company
Consult and work with managers, supervisors, employees, and equipment to coordinate loading and unloading operations
Complete other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee is occasionally required communicate verbally with other staff members.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
